Citizen Chef Review: A Sauce for Any Cook
I love trying new food, so long as I don’t have to cook it. I am such a horrible cook. I think it’s because I don’t have the patience to wait on it. I was thrilled to get the chance to try Citizen Chef’s sauces. These things make new foods super easy. How hard is it to marinate meat or throw a sauce in to make a stir fry? Yeah even I did it!
About Citizen Chef
Citizen Chef is all about fresh ingredients, real cooking, and eating together. They are a small group of parents, kids and busy professionals who know first hand how difficult it is to make healthy choices amid the daily hustle and bustle. They thrive on bringing fresh healthy foods to your home that can still be quick and easy to make.
My Review
I have the pleasure for trying 3 of their fantastic sauces. I received the Hawaiian Pineapple BBQ, Limone Garlic, and Pan Asian Glaze. All of these were out of this world! With the Hawaiian Pineapple BBQ and the Limone Garlic we marinated the pork and chicken in the sauces for a couple hours prior to cooking. We grilled them and took some of the sauce we didn’t use and basted them while grilling. Holy cow were these ever flavorful! I love the strong flavor they have.
The picture is of a stir fry I made with the Pan Asian Orange (not the most attractive dish but hey I said I wasn’t a cook). I simply added some chicken and a bag of frozen stir fry veggies. When they got close to be cooked I then added the sauce. I didn’t want to add it to early and cook the flavor out of it or with my luck burn it.
They now have 2 salad kits that look super yummy and healthy. Great for someone like me that likes pre-made meals.
Where to Buy
If you have a Costco and are in California please head over there to see if they have it on their shelves. If you don’t then check out these other locations that just might have them, such as Sprout’s Farmers Market and some select Safeway stores. Get to cooking something new. If you do, please come back and let me know what you tried.
Connect With Them
Stay connected via social media with Citizen Chef to keep up to date on latest products they have coming out. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
