John Hughes

Oh how I love John Hughes movies. As I was scrolling though Netflix this past weekend, desperatly trying to find something to watch, I came across the movie Some Kind of Wonderful. I used to LOVE this movie.

So I clicked play now and watched this blast from the past. While I still enjoyed this movie it really reminded me of my fab time in the 80’s.  I really think I need to write Netflix and encourage them to make Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles as instant watches.  Boy do I have memories of Sixteen Candles. Me and my BFF used to sit and watch that show for HOURS over and over.

I also found that another one of my favorite movies was an instant watch on Netflix. I will tell you if you promise not to laugh. Iron Eagle. I have no idea what it is about this movie but it is still good today as it was in the 80’s and Jason Gederick, yummy.

Some new arrivals on Netflix watch instantly is the classic Smokey and the Bandit, my dad’s favorite. Blue Crush, Blade 2, or The Princess and the Frog. Catch TV shows that you may have missed in the past like Blue Mountain State, The Office, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Camp Rock 2. Psych has to be one of my favorites.

Netflix truely is a lifesaver on the weekends for us. My son has a blu-ray player that has Netflix built in so when he get TV time we can just put on Veggie Tales, Dinosaur Train, or Bob the Builder. If you haven’t tried Netflix I really think it’s worth checking out. So worth the $7.99 a month for this convience.
