Rockin Coffee Review and Giveaway

Rockin CoffeeLast giveaway of 2011 right here folks! What better way to end it then to rock out with some coffee! (okay cheesy but you laughed right)

Rockin’ Coffee’s custom-roasted artisanal blends combine the highest quality fair trade Arabica coffee beans cultivated using organic, environmentally sustainable methods. Rockin’ Coffee chose the high-altitude, shade-loving Arabica beans, because they mature more slowly allowing them to develop a more intense and sensuous flavor, far surpassing that of its sun-loving coffee cousins grown at lower altitudes where rainforests have been decimated to make way for coffee crops. We use beans from the best coffee producing regions in the world — including Ethiopia, Indonesian Sumatra, and Guatemala, where certified organic farmers carefully monitor the crop, picking the glowing red coffee cherries at the zenith of ripeness, minimizing insect damage and enabling customers to enjoy pesticide free java.

I was thrilled to be able to do a review of this coffee. As most know I am such a coffee freak!  It took me longer than normal to do this review because the coffee is in bean form so I had to try to find my grinder and when I couldn’t I had to go buy a small grinder.

I was send three flavors of coffee to review. Ethiopia medium roast coffee, Guatemala dark-medium roasted coffee and  East Timor Dark Roast coffee.

My thoughts

First order of business I want to get out of the way is, how cool is their logo?!? I have got to get me one of their mugs.  Okay onto the coffee. Grinding coffee always gets me excited. The smell of fresh grounded coffee means I am going to have some rockin good coffee. The Ethiopia medium roast was right down my alley. I am a light to medium type of gal so this was outstanding.

The Guatemala dark-medium roast for me was better with a bit more water added to it. I don’t link my coffee too dark so this was great for a bigger mug that I could add some hot water too.

The East Timor dark roast was not my favorite just becuase it is too dark and bold for me. A good bold coffee and one my husband really enjoyed. I did however find this coffee good when creamer was added to it but I would rather have my coffee all natural and black.

Regardless of your coffee freakness, Rockin Coffee has something for you and you have got to try it.
