Happy Healthy Monday

Well I have managed to get another cold. It just never ends. I think in this past month I have had maybe 3 good days. So I am a bit disappointed that I didn’t get anything done around the house. What really irratates me is that my husband had Friday off and has Mon and Tues off and I bet you anything he doesn’t do anything around here. Poor baby has worked too hard he needs to rest.. Whatever!!

I did manage to buy some things to make my lunches so this week I need to focus on eating healthy. Both hubby and I am going to try not to eat out all week, lunch and dinner, and reward ourselves with a nice meal on the weekend. I think we can do it.

My knee has felt pretty good this weekend but then I have been laying down a lot so I hope this continues. I must say I miss all my Mamavation Sista’s.  I don’t get online too often during the day. When I do I see a bunch of new names so welcome to all the people I have missed to welcome.  I need to get back to drinking water so water czar please send me reminders to drink. I have gone from like 80z to none. Not good.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Enjoy the recipe.

  1. Make November amazing, be healthy, be well, treat yourself well. I love that you and your husband are in this goal together. Good luck not eating out all week and enjoy that fine meal on the weekend.

  2. I feel ya on the cold thing. I’m starting week 3. I’m about to nap then when I wake up to the doctor I go :((

I’m gonna be trying this recipe! Well as long as they have the tortellini today, they didn’t have it a few days ago. Walmart sucks here.

I’ve been struggling with eating cleaner and enough, and this is something I can have for lunch and not go under my calories anymore. (I may even make my own dressing for this one)

  3. Sorry to hear you are under the weather. I hate when I can’t get the house clean like I want it and the hubby has time off and doesn’t help, mostly hinders. Good luck on trying not to eat out this week. that’s a hard one for us.

  5. I hate that you aren’t feeling well 🙁 I hope you get better soon!

That pasta recipe looks ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! and will Definitely end up on a meal plan VERY soon! thank you so much for sharing!!!

Good luck on making lunches to avoid the fast food – I make my lunch & snacks every day for work and it makes SUCH a difference!!! Come up with quick and easy ideas to save time and give you the variety you’ll want. OR better yet, if you make extra dinner the night before, that is usually a great lunch 🙂 I know you’ll do great and are off to a GREAT start!!!

  6. We miss you too! I am so sorry that you are sick again, but glad the knee seems to e on the mend. Thanks again for sharing a yummy recipe!!

  7. I am a new name and Thank YOU! I know how you feel about your husband – I am feeling the same way. Oh, well, I hate to think about him being another child, but you know…
    Feel better!

  8. Love the goal of not eating out this week and the reward WHEN you are successful! Good for both of you!! Maybe you need a small reward for drinking your water too? Just a thought.

Yeah, missing you too, Karla! And thanks for sharing that recipe – sounds delish! Might have to make that next week to share with our small group from church 🙂

    Hugs!

  9. Any time you want to share husband horror stories, let me know!

I love the recipe… seriously thinking about trying it first and then maybe taking it for one of my Thankgiving dishes this year. It sounds delish!

I hope the knee gets feeling better soon and you better start drinking your water, woman!

  10. Wow, the photo of the salad makes me want to lick the screen.

And I hear you on the colds and the blahs. For me, the time of year adds to it too. The weather changes, the being far away from family on special days (we moved to NC 2 years ago), and the seemingly neverending postnasal drip.

We should tweet water reminders at each other today. I am trying to focus on that too. I mean, of all the things I can do to take care of myself, drinking water should be a no brainer, you know?

  11. great job on being able to shop for healthy foods, looking forward to getting to know you better as I write for your other site. good luck with your water intake tupperware makes some cute waterbottles thats what I use there 16 oz.
