Happy Healthy Monday
Hello Mamavation and friends.. Hope all of you had a fantastic week. It was the first full week at the new job and so far so good. I get lots of interruptions and I get to get out and walk a lot.
One major victory for me is that last week I brought my lunch everyday! Yeah me. I notice that I tend to eat less if I just quick eat and get back to work opposed to taking my full lunch break.
On that note I didn’t do so well with dinners. Hubby had a big project due and I was not in my routine and we ate out EVERY night. I know so not cool. This week will be better on that front.
I did however mange to lost 1 pound this week. So imagine what eating at home all week for dinner will do for me next week. Yeah!! However I am going to get bored with my lunches quickly so any ideas on what I can do please let me know.
Ever heard of Aligned and Well? I hadn’t until the Mamavation blogging carnival. They say your body alignment could great poor health. Well shoot, I for sure need that. I know I am all out of whack. My lower back kills me at times and my neck needs a good crackin’.
Well that is it for this week. Just trying to get into a routine is what I am focusing on. I hate not knowing if I am coming or going. Have a super week and here is a recipe to try.
Baked Four Cheese Ravioli with Cheese
This cheesy dish goes great with a salad made with packaged salad greens. For an American twist, use cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella.

We do what we can, right? It’s life!
Good for you bringing your lunch! Somehow I managed to lose a pound too and wasn’t very “good” about my food. Who knows.
Onward and upward!!
Woohoo with the lunches this week Karla! Boo hiss with the dinners, but life makes scheduling everything perfectly hard. Have fun making lunches AND dinner this week. Congrats on your weight loss this week.
I was wondering why my screen was all foggy…it looks like someone licked it! LOL Glad the new job is turning out well and you get walking breaks. You’re going to do great.
Yeah for the lunches! I always felt that way when I took my lunch I didn’t eat as much as I thought I would of! Way t lose that pound!
WOW that sounds so good!!!!! Good for you on the loss. They say you can eat out if you just make good choices. I try to split the meal with someone or take half of it home. That might help next time. Good luck this week.
Congrats on losing that pound Karla! thats wonderful! Menu planning! You gotta do that!
Im gonna have to try out the recipe you posted too!
Thanks for making me hungrier Karla!(lolol)…dang but if that don’t just look yummy though! Kudos on likin the new job and have a great week!
That food looks divine. Makes me want to lick the screen, it does!
You did it! You accomplished a goal you set last week and you managed to lose a pound. WTG, sista!
Packing a lunch is always the best option. ALso – I think fitnesscheerleader uses her lunch hour to workout. Maybe instead of going STRAIGHT back to work, enjoy the rest of your lunch hour and talk a walk!
Congrats on the 1 pound loss. You and hubby will eventually get back into the swing and you’ll be cooking nightly again. THink if you start cooking dinner at night, you can make extra for your lunch the next day.
Actually, I used to make extra on Saturday night’s dinner and take it to work monday, and SUnday’s left overs on Tuesday. That way I wasn’t having the same thing 2 days in a row.
For weeks that I’m super busy, meal planning definitely helps me avoid eating out! I pick quick and easy meals that I know will give me leftovers. Casseroles are great for this. Throw them together, bake in the oven, and they almost always warrant leftovers
This recipe looks delicious and so calorie friendly too. I would have never thought it was so reasonable by looking at the luscious photograph. Thanks for sharing it.
Congrats on bringing your lunch your first week. That is a GREAT habit to begin!!
