I was thrilled to get this book for review. I am trying to make 2012 better for me and small steps is what I need to do to accomplish that.
My Thoughts
Okay I will be honest here. I haven’t completely read the entire book because when I skipped ahead, I found myself doing about 4 weeks worth of stuff in one week. Have I mentioned I have no patience? I did skim the entire book and I have to say, there are some great things happening in this book. Some of the challenges include foods such as choosing whole grains to spending time with nature (I might see a problem with that one)
I will also be honest to say I haven’t really been doing these weekly challenges. I did the first 4 weeks and kinda sizzled out. The thing is my weight loss was showing the improvements. Here were the first four weeks.
- Week One- Drink that water
- Week Two- Get some sleep
- Week Three- Get moving
- Week Four- Keep a Food Journal
All of these are key items to a healthy life. I need to get back to this book. Doing this post is a good reminder for me. This book is really impressive. It’s well organized and laid out. If you aren’t one of the lucky winners to get a book, I highly recommend adding it to your “to buy list”.

Awesome! I like when you only have to focus on ONE week at a time instead of all kinds of things piling upon you at once. We’ve been eating healthy foods but sadly mostly in the form of smoothies. That’s a small step right?!
I say fruit in any form is good well except maybe candy form but I like to tell myself it’s still okay! HA
