Thanks for the Help #Hormel {New Food Friday}

cheesycornThis year I was lucky enough to be apart of the Hormel Family Blogger program. It really did open my eyes to some new products that Hormel has that I have never tired. Had it not been for this program I may never have tried some great recipes or products that don’t bare the actually Hormel name but are apart of their brand.

They helped me with a Thanksgiving potluck, Halloween treat, and even Christmas. We enjoyed a nice Hormel party tray on Christmas even along with our soup and fried bread. I have to say the salami in these meat trays are really great. Even my Mom enjoyed it.

Here is a recipe that we had on Christmas day where Hormel helps with their Black Label Real Bacon Crumble product.

2- 8oz packages of cream cheese

4- 16oz packages of frozen corn

3/4 block of Velveeta cheese

3 tbsp sugar

2 tbps milk

4 tbsp butter

1 package of Hormel’s Black Label Real Bacon Crumbles ( They have a jalapeno flavor too that would be awesome but my whole family doesn’t like spice)

The easiest way I found was stick it all in a crock pot and let it heat up. Check every so often to stir so it all get cooked through.  Cooks in about 4 hours with pot on Med-High.

I am super excited to continue with the Hormel Family Bloggers in 2013! If you are having a New Year’s Eve/Day party give this recipe a try!

Happy New Year!
