Everyone has this dream of a perfect family vacation, only some get enough time and only few have enough money. When you plan for a family vacation, you know you have to bear a heavy dent on your pocket. However, family vacations don’t always mean a cruise to Europe or Middle East.
The reason that most people are unaware of this fact is that most people overlook what is close-by. We have jotted down a list of some of the finest yet affordable family vacation spots nearby US.
1. Las Vegas, Nevada
It might sound like a money pit, but if you can keep yourself away from unnecessary gambling, the city has some of the most affordable hotels and lodges. Many airlines offer special discount tickets to the sin city. Despite the reputation, Vegas has some of the most exciting and amazing attractions for children and families including Indoor skydiving, circus and hiking.
2. Washington D.C
Where else can your kids learn about national history? Washington D.C makes it fun to learn about history and politics. There are nineteen museums including a zoo and there is no entry fee to these places. You can take advantage of the Metro as a cheap public transportation. This way staying in an affordable lodge away from the downtown becomes much easier.
3. Palm Springs. California
Palm Springs area offers the most relaxing lodging in the big urban state. During the off-season especially in summer, the hotels may even cut down their rates to half of what they charge in high season. Disney land is of course the biggest attraction for kids and adults alike.
4. Riviera Maya, Mexico
You don’t have visit the European coast for a nice snorkeling vacation. Riviera Maya is the world’s second largest barrier coral reef. 5. Moab, Utah
For an affordable family vacation filled with adventure and excitement, Moab is the place to be. Moab is an excellent camping site, so no need to worry about accommodation. 6. Negril, Jamaica
Negril was once a hot spot for the hippies. The place still has the same care-free, happy feel to it. You will find a number of affordable lodges and hotels offering special discounts for families. The beaches of Negril are peaceful and gentle making it a safe vacation destination for families with kids.
7. Shannon, Ireland
If you really want to go across the continent, yoru can find extremely low priced flight to Shannon, Ireland. You will find countless affordable lodges and guest house in middle of the peaceful countryside of western Ireland. You can also rent a horse to ride across the trials. Castles and museums are also interesting family attractions.
