At Home Teeth Whitening: Does it Work?
Smiling with teeth showing has never been my thing. Even as a kid for school pictures I wouldn’t show teeth. Back then it was because I had a big over bite and then braces. Now, it’s because I have a love affair with coffee. I used to smoke as well so my teeth have really seen it all. They are pretty yellow.

I had the opportunity to work with Smile Brilliant and try their at home whitening kit. First of all, this is way easier than scheduling an appointment with the dentist and much lighter on the pocket book.

The Kit
The kit they send is super easy to use. First you have to make molds of your teeth. You send in your molds and within a couple weeks you receive your custom molds to begin the process. Now when you open the box it can be a bit overwhelming if you have never been through this process. If you have sensitive gums there is some desensitizing gel that can be applied. I however, did not use this part. The applying process could not be more simple. Just open the pre-filled syringe and apply 1/3 of the gel to your molds. Apply the molds to your teeth and wait. You can leave them on for 30 min up to 4 hours. If your teeth are really yellow like mine, the longer the better. In the beginning I would only leave them on for an hour. Towards the end I went for about 2 and started seeing better results. While I still have some left and plan to use the rest of my gel, I do see a different. Below are my before and after with 2-3 weeks of use. Once I have completed using all of my gel, I will come back and post a final picture.
